......

The mother hasn't been updating because her back is too sore so she is looking at other peoples blogs but not updating hers [which I do not understand at all]. I told her that it is time to updatee and she told me to so lets see. At the fair Brent got flippin rich off of stuff that mom did [not him] and I got about 6 bucks for things that I did. Brooklyn and Meagan came down because Meagan had a booth for scentsy. Dad went to Idaho with Grandma and Grandpa Rothlisberger. Here are some pictures from the fair...

To be honest this is the first time I have posted. Anything you have seen up to this time is by Marti. I decided It is time I post something. Blake came in from his Church History Trip about 3:00a.m. this morning. We are sure glad to have him home. The kids from here go with a group from Utah, Richfield Salina Area. This year 17 went from this area. Some day I am going to quit sending my kids and go myself. They do grow from this trip, so I think it is worth every penny. I wish they still had the school in Nauvoo. I don't know if Blake took pictures, but if he did I will have him post them and write a little something later. Now I will try to post some pictures of our weekend at Monettes. Mark blessed the boys at home 1 week ago. Mom came and we had a nice visit. Kip and I had to return home on Sunday to irrigate, and Kip went to work Monday morning. Go to Mallory's blog to see Grandma with Connor. She stayed until Monday morning and them Mallory took her to the Airport. Thanks for coming Grandma.

There's plenty for you to post about so hurry up, and you had better post about Blake's trip cuz I'm not writing much about it haha. Just kidding but really you should try to be better at posting. =]

Huge Update

So, Marti had her choir and band concerts and made a castle for the Renaissance, Blake had prom and jumpe 6 ft at regionals, and Brent took second at the Pinewood Derby but didn't place at the district derby. Blake will also be jumping around 6:00 at the state track meet if anybody wants to go. Brent also had his program too. Marti has all of the pictures of Blake at prom so I decided not to post any on mine.

Blake's Track Meet

Blake had a track meet on Friday in Blueridge. It was so cold I had a hard time focusing on pictures. I just wanted to get back under my blanket. Here are a few. I had hoped I had a better one of him going over. He jumped 5'8". Today would be a great day for a track meet, low 80's, of course Wednesday when we do have a track meet the temperature is going to drop about 15 degrees, and windy again. I will bring a coat and gloves along with my blanket this time.

We also have the Book of Mormon Read a Thon on Wednesday. We are going to Bishops house and following the dream of Lehi. It sounds really good. I am glad to be back in Young Womens so I can go and enjoy this.

Basketball Season

Marti had a great basketball season. There were six teams and her team took 2nd in the championship game. We enjoyed watching her.
Everyone is doing great. Marti is showing me how to do this so I can update things myself. I am looking forward to the new baby coming.

Here's the recipe for the week:

3-Ingredient Fettuccine Alfredo

2 Sticks butter
1/2 pound grated Parmesan Cheese, plus more for serving
salt
1 pound fettuccine

Using an electric mixer, beat butter and Parmesan until creamy.
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook fettuccine according to package instructions until done. About 12 minutes. Reserve about 1/2 cup of cooking water; drain pasta
Return fettuccine to warm pot. Toss pasta with 1/2 teaspoon salt, cheese mixture, and 1/4 cup of the pasta water. Add more pasta water as needed.
Serve with additional cheese.
I like to add my own seasonings to the cheese mix. Garlic, Italian seasoning. I just add until I like it. This is an easxy supper. You can add baked chicken or just serve it with some vegetables.

Update...

So, this blog is going private too. E-mail me or just post on here if you want your e-mail on the "safety list".

Also, I have decided that if Mallory doesn't have her baby I am going down to Las Vegas for Easter to go to the picnic with my mom and sisters.

Blake will be at a track meet in Queen Creek on Friday the 29th of February. Anybody who wants to go watch him jump in welcome to but you will have to pay to get in.

Mississippi Mud Cake

This is our new favorite recipe. People like it so much that when I took it in to Young Womens all of the scouts from another ward were lining up waiting for some. We were hoping for some leftovers but we left with an empty pan.

2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
4 eggs
3 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cocoa
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. nuts
1 c. miniature marshmallows

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs and beat. Sift flour, cocoa and salt. Add to sugar mixture. Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into a greased 9x13 inch pan. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Take out and cover with marshmallows. Put back in oven for 5 minutes. Take out and frost.

Frosting

3 1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. nuts 1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. evaporated milk

Melt butter. Sift sugar and cocoa. Mix with melted butter. Add cream or milk, vanilla and nuts. Spread on cake.

Finally

So, mom finally got a blog! I,(Marti) have been bugging her for ages and she finally told me to make one for her because she has tried but doesn't know how. I guess we'll have to get some pictures (I have none yet).
