Not much to post about. We had a really good weekend, but I didn't take any pictures. Mary and Gary's reception was lots of fun. Antonio and Daneece's family came and spent the weekend with us. Saturday morning was a relief society meeting with two speakers. The first speaker told about her life in Berlin during World War II and her conversion to the gospel. Sister Okasaki was the other speaker and she was great. It was a very fulfilling morning.
I had Brooklynn during the week and she was fun. She spent some of her time in Eagar.
I did end up sick this week and can't talk much. Yesterday my voice came back in the afternoon, but it is 2:00p.m. and I can't talk. I guess if it hasn't come back by Monday and my throat still hurts I will go see the doctor.
Blake is at state acadec this weekend. Go Blake!
I want to pay it forward. So, here it goes. Have fun.

Pacers Blessing and 23 years in a Row for Acadec
We had a very nice weekend. On our way to the Valley for Pacer's blessing we stopped in Show Low for the Academic Decathalon Super Quiz and awards program. It was quite exciting and St. Johns sqeaked by a win by 2 points. It left us anxious as the awards program started, but as usal as the awards begin to be presented we knew St. Johns had won hands down. They won with points just under 39,000. The next closes teams points were under 35,000. Congratulations Blake for medaling in Speech and Music. Here are some pictures of the weekend.
The Team

Tyson, Blake, and Richard
Marti and Sandra had way to much fun with
Dalon's hair.
Bryce kept stealing the baby from me.
Waiting for the Super Bowl commercial that
used the 3d glasses
Am I tough or What?
Watching movies in the other room, while parents
watched the Super Bowl
Kip enjoying the game.
I also discovered the best blueberry recipe. For my girls that have the St. Johns cookbook it is on page 114;
Blueberry Muffins (Natalie Hollembeak)
4 eggs
1 C. vegetable oil
2 C. sour Cream
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 C. sugar
Cream these ingredients together. Mix the dry ingredients in a seperate bowl.
4 C. Flour
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Salt
Gently stir these ingredients into the creamed ingredients, just until mixed. Do not over stir.
2 C. Blueberries, Folded in.
Preheat oven to 400. Place in greased muffin tins and bake for 15-20 minutes. Makes 36 regular Muffins. I made mini muffins and they popped into my mouth way to easy.
Half of this recipe makes plenty for us, but you could always freeze them for later. I think the secret must be the sour cream.

Lake Powell
It is that time of year again to start planning our Lake Powell Trip. We are looking at two weeks in July, either the 8th thru the 11th or the 15th thru the 18th. Jonni is pregnant and so that rules out August. Aunt Paula prefers the 8th thru the 11th, but if the majority want the other she can work around it. Look at your calendars and let me know.

Blake turned 18 this week. I can't believe it. Happy birthday to Coytt, who is 3 and Ell, who is 4.

Bryce has been busy playing basketball. Thanks for all the phone calls on Wednesday, but Blake was busy at Acadec and Ball games. Back to Bryce, he played quite a bit on Wednesday and made a 3 pointer. It is fun to watch him play. He went to Pinon on Thursday and today he went to Grey Hills. They won again on Thursday and hopefully they win again today. Just didn't feel up to the long drive and sitting through a game yet. Here are some birthday pictures of Blake. I am sure if he were typing this he would include a big thanks for all the gifts.

After Blake's first try of blowing out the candles Bryce dedided he better help him out. Happy Birthday Blake.

Here is a quick look at 2008:
The first part of the year was tough. 2007 Ended with Grandma Jolley's Funeral. Of course she was 102 and had had a good life. I am sure she was happy to go.
January: Jonni and Chris were married, Uncle Brad past away, we still miss him terribly

February: Aunt Jolene died, Jason and Jodi were married
March: Mallory had cute little Conner

April: Was this actually a quite month, I can't really remember
May: Blake jumped 5'10'' at the state track meet. His highest for the year was 6'. Way to go. He is only 5'9". I thought I was Shera and tried to lift a riding lawn mower. 6 months later I think I feel almost normal again. Oh yes and there was the Rothlisberger reunion with 8 inches of snow. Thank heavens by Sunday it was gone and almost felt like spring again.
June: Mark blessed Coytt and Dalon. It was a good day. Even though it was about 24 hours, 31/2 hour drive after I lifted the lawn mower and tore something in my backside.
July: Mallory and Jake went through the Mesa temple, Conner was blest, Blake became ill.
After 3 trips to the emergency room, 2 doctor visits, a chiropractor visit, and lots of pain, Blake took a $20,000 airplane ride to St. Josephs hospital is Phoenix were he spent 6 days. Before we left we did have a nice 24th with my kids coming home, except Mallory who moved to Utah this month also, and Lorie and her family.
August: Blake has to be on IV antibiotics for 5 more weeks and is very limited in what he can do. No soccer for him. A little sad, but ok with it. Everyone goes to Lake Powell, without us. Just couldn't leave Blake home alone at this point. They did have a good time and we look forward to next year. School Starts and summer comes and goes I guess, I don't really remember summer ever being here.
Sept. Kip took a trip to Idaho, so his parents could visit with Gloria Goodman, she has cancer and wasn't able to come to the reunion. They had a good time stopping by and seeing other family memebers on their way. My back still hurts to bad to travel, so I stay home and tend the kids and myself. Of course Septemeber is loaded with birthdays and wedding anniversaries. Next year will be our 25th. Can you believe it. Congratulations to Tiffany and Mitch on their wedding.
Oct. We went to Utah to Jordan and Jen's wedding, stayed with Cindy and had a good time visiting and laughing. Saw Mallory and Jake and Conner. Enjoyed the trip thanks to Grandma's heated seats.
Nov. We went to Las Vegas to Tiffany and Mitch's reception. It was beautiful and the weather couldn't have been better for an outside reception. Then the fun began again and emergency room here we come, after two visits they say my kidney stones are to big to pass and I have to have surgery. Trust me having stent in is not fun, way to go Lorie for keeping one in for 6weeks 6 days was enough. 3 more weeks trying to pass kidney stones and another surgery. Mark and Monette were sealed as a family. Thanksgiving in between, and another surgery in December. Thank heaven for pain killers It was like being in labor for a month. I am now kidney stone free and hope to stay that was. All you Romine's look out your turn could be just around the corner.

Dec. Blake is medically released to do anything he feels up to, so maybe he will try high jumping. He is just going to see how it goes. It does require your back, but it is up to him. Still feeling the pain, but after laying around for almost 2 months with the kidney stones my back is feeling better. Christmas came and went and the year ended on a great note with Pacer being born the 31st. Sorry for shortage of pictures, but some are on Marti's site and they can't be imported or we just aren't sure how to get them over. Check out everyone elses site for pictures. Who knows when I will post again. I think I do have it figured out though so maybe I will be better at it. Congratulations on all the other new baby's and family happenings.

Baby Pacer
Mom's coming home from the valley today and since she hasn't updated her blog in like a decade I decided to. I already posted this on my blog and so did Meagan. But yeah Meagan had her little kid. They named him Pacer Lincoln Rogers. And he is so dang cute.
Hopefully when Mom sees this she will expand on her visit. ;)

......
The mother hasn't been updating because her back is too sore so she is looking at other peoples blogs but not updating hers [which I do not understand at all]. I told her that it is time to updatee and she told me to so lets see. At the fair Brent got flippin rich off of stuff that mom did [not him] and I got about 6 bucks for things that I did. Brooklyn and Meagan came down because Meagan had a booth for scentsy. Dad went to Idaho with Grandma and Grandpa Rothlisberger. Here are some pictures from the fair...
